The State of HIV/AIDS in the Philippines
According to data from the Department of Health, the number of new cases of HIV being reported in the Philippines is steadily on the rise. While the absolute number of cases in the Philippines is relatively small, HIV is rising at an alarming rate in the country.
Persons who are infected with HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) may eventually develop AIDS (acquired immunodeficiency syndrome), a life threatening disease characterized by a weakened immune system.
They agreed that the HIV has spread in the Philippines largely because of the lack of public education about the virus. Because sex is a taboo topic in Filipino culture, experts speculate that the actual number of HIV cases in the Philippines may actually be higher than reported because people are too ashamed or afraid to come forward about having the infection.

Eto yung Charice na sobrang iniidolo ko noon. Purong Pinoy, Simple, at babaeng babae. Nalungkot ako bilang FAN niya at nag-iisang FAN ng mga singer dito sa Pilipinas. Ibang talento naman kasi talaga meron siya, hindi lang normal na pagkanta. Kundi extra ordinary talaga. Napatayo ang maraming audience kapag kumakanta siya, parang buhok niya ngayon standing ovation na rin. Tayo-tayo na parang ewan.
Ewan ko, bakit ako apektado sa buhok niya. Kahit na sabihing ang tunay na nagmamahal sa kanya eh matatanggap kung ano siya. Pero ayaw mo naman makita ang idolo mo na parang ewan ang itsura kapag nag peperform or nakikita mo sa TV.
Dati tuwang tuwa ako kapag nakikita ko siya sa TV. Syempre sikat siya sa buong mundo eh, pero nakikita pa rin natin sa mga Local Tv Networks, nakita na niya si Oprah at marami pang ibang singer na hinahangaan din ng karamihan. Pero ngayon, kapag nakikita ko siya sa X Factor. Napapalipat ako ng channel, o kaya naman minsan eh nililipat ko na agad ang TV wag lang siyang makita. Ewan ko, wala siyang ginagawa pero naiirita ako sa mukha niya. Parang trying hard na ewan na hindi mo malaman kung ano ang gustong iparating eh.
Nawala yung humble look niya, yung simple look, yung silent but deadly na mukha niya. Ewan ko, kung ano bigla ang pumasok sa isip niya sa pinag gagawa niya sa Fashion niya. Soon to be Lady Gaga ba ito ng Pilipinas? Oh trip lang niya ito para pag-usapan ng karamihan?
Sobrang idolo ko talaga kasi tong batang ito. Yung nasa picture sa kaliwa ha? Yung charice na nasa picture na yan. Hindi yung itsura niya ngayon na parang manika ng mangkukulam.
